“EL ACCESO AL CUIDADO DE LA SALUD EN RELACIÓN AL STATUS SOCIOECONÓMICO EN LA AMAZONÍA PERUANA”
La revista internacional para la equidad en salud “International Journal For Equity in Health” ha publicado en su página web una investigación relacionada con los temas del proyecto. Tiene como principal preocupación el limitado acceso que existe al cuidado de la salud en países donde vemos población en extrema pobreza donde requieren de manera significativa estos servicios.
   
LA EXPERIENCIA  DE LA “EQUIDAD EN SALUD PARA LAS MINORÍAS ÉTNICAS EN COLOMBIA”
El presente trabajo presenta dos importantes experiencias para un manejo intersectorial sobre el sector salud con un enfoque sectorial: una de política pública a nivel nacional y la otra relacionada en forma más especificas para grupos étnicos a nivel local, conformados por los grupos afrocolombianos  que representan el 10,3 % y un 3,3 % de población indígena del total existente en Colombia

Many indigenous Matsinguenga communities near the Camisea gas pipeline lack basic health services. The sick often have to travel by river on fragile canoes and boats to find a medical center. The documentary illustrates the contradiction between the inhabitants’ lack of access to medical services and the wealth of the place where they live. The income derived from the exploitation of Camisea’s natural gas deposits has been the underlying cause of the accelerated growth that Peru has experienced since mid-2003. The microdocumentary presents a series of testimonials by the residents of the Lower Urubamba area.
